ERENETA-MANALOTO CHORIZO DE BACOLOD is a family recipe that can be traced to the 1930s. These popular chorizos that come in Recado and Hamonado variants were prepared by two sisters. Josefina who married an Ereneta and Fidela who married a Manaloto. The secret recipe and method of making these special chorizos was then passed down to younger generations that eventually lead to each one having their own version of the family's famous smoked chorizo.
The distinct taste of Ereneta-Manaloto Chorizo will surely bring back childhood memories - and this rings true especially for Negrenses who have settled outside Bacolod. The brand Ereneta-Manaloto Chorizo had its debut in 2017 during the 32nd Negros Trade Fair in Manila with the main objective of making this family's brand of Bacolod Chorizo easily available outside the Negros province and putting Bacolod in the Longanisa map of the Philippines.
