My Angel arrived in 2013

My friends and I in Manila used to make quality ceramics for export and for local markets. Years later i went home to Bacolod City and put up my own Ceramics business and supplied the Exporters of the City. They were exporting products of ceramics and native materials (pandan, nito, abaca, etc.) combinations. At the start it was doing well but China came in and enticed the foreign buyers resulting in the closing of shops. Despite the odds - losing orders, losing skilled workers, a lot and a housing loan and financially down, still kept on joining DTI sponsored Fairs in Manila and other provinces. In one of these Fairs, a buying agent showed a picture of a Bottle Chime which i did not know how to but readily agreed to work on it. Thus, the arrival of my Angel Chime in 2013 which also resulted in the establishment of Yssa's Crafts.

Seeing the potential in the local market, went on to make more different slumped bottle products using wine and medicine bottles. All these got delightful responses. Continued to join local and international Fairs through the help of DTI, ANP, PHILEXPORT and the Province through the Office of the Governor. Before the COVID-19 we were already exporting to the States and Belgium and then suddenly stopped operation. Yssa's Crafts closed and only reopened this year as Yssa's Handicrafts Manufacturing. Resilient and with Faith, we are slowly gaining grounds again.
